Attachments are files that can be added to a tenant, property, owner, work order for inspection.  Attachments could be a copy of a rental agreement or a word document or a photo or a PDF file etc.  Any file type can be added.

Attachment files are stored on the server.  It is recommended you keep a safe backup copy of the original file on your computer.  There is also a limited amount of space available for each company on the server, so only upload necessary files, and try to keep them as small as possible.  If you are running out of space, you can choose to store your RentHQ attachments in your Dropbox or OneDrive or Google Drive account instead.

Attachment files can be optionally viewed by tenants and property owners via their own login.  Some files such as PDF files will be viewed directly in the browser windows, while other file types will need to be downloaded.

For some attachment types, there is the option to send to the owner when the next disbursement email is sent.  These emails are created and sent when printing the Owner Transaction Summary report, and choosing the option to email the owner.

Reports such as month owner summaries or tenant statements and invoices are automatically generated as attachments and added to their respective owners and tenants.
